About Spencer
Solo attempt at completing the Tour de 14ers. Trying to see more of CO after biking to all of the National Parks.
Spencer McCullough has been biking for as long as he can remember. Riding all over his hometown with his friends, and being car-free the entire time he was in college, and most of his adult life. His most recent outdoor project was an 18,000 mile bicycle tour, where he became the first person to bike to all of the National Parks in the lower 48 states. He’s previously completed the Leadville 100 foot race, as well as Run Rabbit Run. Spencer has also spent some time up at high altitudes, having summited Aconcagua, as well as many peaks in Ecuador.
After being gone from Colorado for almost two years climbing and going on that bike tour, Spencer has decided to stay closer to home this summer and see more of the state he calls home. Biking to, and climbing all of the 14ers in Colorado will take him to many parts of the state that he hasn’t been to yet.
When not out on a tour, Spencer spends a lot of time advocating for safer cycling infrastructure in Denver, and is building GoBikeCamping.com - a website that aims to map all of the cyclist-friendly campsites in the US while also advocating for the creation of more.
